Inga Ellzey Billing Companies

About our Founder

Inga comes from both a formal educational and hands-on background. She earned a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor’s of Science in Medical Record Administration from the University of Central Florida. UCF has more than 70,000 enrolled students and is one of the largest universities in the country. Several years after she completed her graduate degree, she served as an adjunct professor for three years.

Her hands-on experience is the result of working for one of Florida’s top dermatologists and dermatologic surgeons for over thirteen years. Five of those years were spent assisting in complex dermatologic surgical procedures. This experience provided her with unique insight and helped establish her as a leading expert in dermatology coding, documentation, carrier compliance, and the billing environment.

Inga started the Inga Ellzey Billing Companies in 1996, which have earned a reputation as the premiere dermatology-specific billing service in the nation. Her company is rated among the top fifty billing services in the country.

A New Chapter

In 2012, Rob started with the billing service, working himself up from being a scanner to his present position. In 2018, Inga promoted Rob Manjura to the position of CEO. Although Rob is Inga’s nephew, they have both a professional relationship as well as a personal one. Even though Inga has reduced her work schedule, she remains a hands-on owner, leading the company to continued growth and sustainability in a challenging environment.

For over ten years in the 1990s, Inga was one of GlaxoSmithKline’s top requested speakers. During this time, she spoke to over 150 state and local dermatology societies, with more than 10,000 physicians attending her events over those years. Inga was not only known for her unparalleled knowledge of the industry, but also for her wit, humor, and personality.

Over the past forty plus years, Inga has been a prolific writer and author, contributing articles to multiple national dermatology journals, including Dermatology Times and Skin and Aging News. She also wrote and published her own newsletter for over twenty years, as well as producing a large number of coding tools and manuals.

In addition to her passion for continuing to be intimately involved in her companies, Inga dedicates her free time to writing romance novels, children’s books, and most recently, her memoir. Every Wednesday for the past fourteen years, she plays cards (hearts) with three young men, and for more than thirteen years has enjoyed Lady’s Night every Tuesday with two close friends. She never passes up an invitation to join friends for fun and lively conversation. She lives with two zebra finches and her beloved Schnauzers, Audi, Marzie, and Brunnie.

Inga's Philosophy

“I am in the business because I love it. I love the specialty of dermatology, I love dermatologists, and I share their pride in running a quality business and providing quality “care.” Of course, we all want to earn money for what we do. However, money is no longer the motivator for me. It’s sustainability for the next generation, stability for my staff from the top down, and knowledge that I am the best at what I do and can share my expertise and service my clients better than anyone out there. Lastly, I love autonomy. I don’t want to be owned by anyone. I don’t want anyone to tell me how to run my business or decide what’s best for the practices I service. I want to make the decisions and take responsibility for my actions. I always have and I always will. My mantra has always been, ‘Be passionate about what you do and you will be successful doing what you love.’ That’s me!”
